The white grouse hunting begins the 25th august every year and is becoming more popular every year.
The access have  been really good in the hunting areas most of the time.

The helicopter companies have good knowledge about where to hunt and they contstantly keep themselves updated on were the access to prey is best. They also have good possibilities to seewhere other hunters are, and avoid putting the hunters too close to each other.

A typical hunt may consist of 2-4 persons and a dog. You'll go with helicopter 30-50km up in the mountains, live in a canvas cot with a stove, where the hunting area is right outside the entrance. You can stay for 4-6 days.
If you don't have a canvas cot, you can rent one from the hunting company. It is possible to rent a boat if you would like to move a little bit further away from the tent one of the days.
