After more than 30 years of planning the chapel in Laisvall was finally ready for opening in the year of 1978. Since the summer of 1953 the parish of Arjeplog have had church services in a nearby hobby room.
The chapel is a simple building, it's only a white cross by the entrance and a church bell that shows it's a chapel. The chapel is on the ground floor and in the basement there are a number of hobby rooms. The chapel is now the central meeting place in the village.
